The mission of EKSISTENZ, which completed its work in May 2017, was to deliver a set of innovative and interoperable tools, procedures, methods and processes that will tackle identity theft in the EU. The entire life-cycle of identity was taken into account, whilst the privacy of citizens was always considered paramount.
In order to demonstrate the achievement of its mission, EKSISTENZ developed a proof of concept relating to banking/finance that is now shown to be scalable and deployable at the national level.
