Biometrics and Identity Management are key research topics that are currently investigated in a number EU-projects running under the seventh Framework program and the new Horizon 2020. International research is dealing with innovative solutions for secure and privacy compliant biometrics and federated identity management.

Andrew Staniforth will presented the basics of ARIES project, including basic aspects such as the project consortium, the technological approach and the expected results.

During the event, an overview of the Eksistenz project and their latest results was presented. Also a brief introduction of  the European Observatory on Identity Theft and eCrime was provided along with the latest  results of EU FP7 project eCRIME.

Participate on the survey on "eID and electronic trust services under eIDAS"

The EC has launched a survey as part of its "Study on a marketing plan to stimulate the take-up of eID and trust service for the Digital Single Market" in order to better understand the "key drivers and hurdles related to the adoption of these services". You can support the EC in this task by providing your input in the survey The survey will run for 3 weeks, until 17 October 2016. The results of the survey will be communicated to everyone that will fill in the survey in December.
